Applicants for Member-in-Training membership in AMMI Canada must meet the following criteria:
To apply, submit a membership application form supported by:
AMMI Canada will review your application. Upon approval, you will receive an invoice for the annual membership dues, including payment instructions. Membership is activated upon payment of the first year’s dues.
Annual dues must be paid within six (6) months of the renewal date or before registering for any member-discounted events, such as the Medical Microbiology Review Course or the Annual Conference. If dues remain unpaid after the six-month period, the Member-in-Training status will be revoked, and the individual will no longer have access to membership benefits.
This policy ensures timely renewals and continued access to the resources and opportunities provided by AMMI Canada.
AMMI Canada recognizes the significant fee increase when Members-in-Training graduate from their programs and move to full Active Membership. To support a smoother transition, AMMI Canada has an incremental post-graduate dues increase schedule:
Members-in-Training are required to provide their expected graduation date upon application. On this date, their profile will be updated by the AMMI Canada Secretariat. When annual dues are generated for all members, the Member-in-Training will receive an updated invoice reflecting their post-graduate year and the corresponding dues as per the schedule above.
